What is AI readiness, for one process?
In one sentence: a process is ready for AI when it is written down, its sources are allowed, its judgment calls are known and one person owns the result.
AI readiness is whether a piece of work can be handed to an AI system safely and usefully: the process is written down, its sources are available and allowed, the judgment calls are known, and someone owns the result. The Leverage Assessment checks it for one real process. A firm-wide review of data, governance, skills and strategy is wider; the Department level covers each department in turn.

- Why this scope
- Knowledge gets stuck at the same point: the partner explains the need, finds a precedent, then resolves exceptions. The new lead must be able to reconstruct all three steps.

- If examples contradict each other or nobody can approve fees, begin with a shared rule and an accountable owner. Defer AI.

How long does the whole assessment take?
About two weeks for the Standard level: the first session, the written report, then the second session. The Department level adds a two-week review of each department before the second session.
Is this a firm-wide AI readiness assessment?
The Standard level assesses one real process in depth. For data, governance, skills and strategy across the firm, choose the Department level, which reviews each department before the second session.
What if the recommendation is not clear?
Then the second session clarifies the evidence, the alternatives and the action plan with a human consultant, before you decide anything.
How much time does it need from our team?
Two 45-minute sessions with the person who runs the process, plus a few representative examples. Wider scopes are agreed before you buy.
We already tried AI. Why would this work?
Because we start with your process, rules, voice and corrections. The tool comes after the work is understood, and the answer may be no AI at all.
How is confidentiality handled?
Start with a description of the workflow and anonymised examples. We agree the access needed and where approval is required before looking at sensitive material, and the report records those limits.
What about privilege, bar or audit rules?
Your professional rules decide what we may see. Where privilege, secrecy or auditor independence applies, we work from anonymised or redacted examples, with read-only access you can revoke, and the report lists every source we used.
