Referral program

Send us a firm. Get paid on what we actually collect.

Most referral programs pay on signature. Ours pays on money received, because a fee on revenue we never banked is how these programs quietly die.

If you know an owner led firm drowning in operational work that cannot hire its way out, this page tells you exactly what happens next.

How does it work?

01

Register the firm first

One email with the company name, the contact, and how you know them. We reply within two business days telling you whether they are already in our pipeline. That reply is your timestamp, and it is what prevents the argument later.

02

Make the introduction

We take it from there. You are never asked to sell anything, pitch anything, or explain what we do. If the firm is not a fit we tell you quickly rather than sitting on it.

03

Get paid as we get paid

10% of what we actually collect from that client on the install and the monthly retainer, for their first 12 months. Paid monthly, after the money has cleared on our side.

What exactly gets paid?

10% of net collected on the install and the monthly retainer, for the client's first 12 months. Net collected means the amount that reaches our account, excluding tax, refunds, and chargebacks. Not the contract value. Not the invoice. What cleared.

It does not apply to the performance share in our engagements. That part is the alignment between us and the client, and it is not ours to hand out.

The firm you send gets 10% off as well. If an introduction only rewards the person making it, the client eventually works out that they paid for it.

If a client stops paying, the fee stops. If a client pays late, you are paid late. We do not front referral fees on revenue we have not received, and we would rather write that here than discover it together in month four.

Attribution window: 180 days from registration. If the firm signs after that, talk to us anyway. We would rather make a judgment call than hide behind a rule.

What does not qualify?

We would rather be blunt here than argue later.

  • A firm already in our pipeline when you register it. This is exactly why registration comes first, and why we answer within two business days.
  • A firm you own, control, or are employed by. Self referral is not referral.
  • An existing client, including a new department or entity inside a firm we already work with.
  • An introduction made without registering it first. We cannot attribute what we did not know about.
  • Anything involving a purchased list, a scraped contact, or an unsolicited mass message sent in our name. This one is not negotiable and it ends the arrangement.

What you have to disclose

If you recommend us publicly, you have to say that you may be paid. In the post itself, not in a bio and not behind a link. This is what the FTC Endorsement Guides require, and they cover the mere possibility of payment rather than money already received.

We disclose it to the client too. Before they sign, we tell them a referral fee exists and who receives it.

This is not compliance theatre. A hidden fee inside advisory work damages the person being advised, and that person has to trust our recommendations for the next twelve months. We are not trading that for 10%.

What we need before the first payment

  • A signed referral agreement. One page.
  • A completed W-8BEN if you are outside the United States, or a W-9 if you are inside it. We are a US LLC and we cannot pay before that form exists.
  • Payment details. We pay by bank transfer.

We collect these once, when your first referral becomes a client. Not before, because we are not going to make you fill in a tax form on the chance that something happens.

Who is this actually for?

It works if you already talk to founders of firms between one and ten people, where the owner is the bottleneck and hiring is not the answer. Consultants, fractional executives, accountants, lawyers, agency owners, and people who used to run that kind of firm themselves.

It does not work as a side income stream. Our average client is not a click, and no volume of traffic converts into this. One good introduction beats a hundred links, and that is not a slogan, it is the shape of the business.
