Our service, outside the ranking

Would you rather have someone run AI visibility for your firm than learn another dashboard? That is what our sister practice does. Jungle Roots (our service) works on GEO for consulting, executive search and M&A firms; its free Shortlist Scan asks 20 buyer questions to four AI engines against three of your competitors. If visibility is one of several jobs waiting for you, prepare a free brief: Loïc Guyon reads it before a 30-minute call.

We publish this ranking, so neither practice is ranked in it. No vendor paid to appear, and no link to a tool below is an affiliate link.

Find your GEO tool in five questions

  1. Whose AI visibility will you track? Our own firm only · Our firm and a sister brand · Several clients: we are an agency
  2. In which language do your buyers ask? English · French · Several European languages
  3. Which AI engines must you see? ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers are enough · Claude too, on the entry plan · As many engines as possible
  4. What monthly budget feels right? Under $50 / €50 a month · Up to $100 / €100 a month · More, if the reporting saves a day a month
  5. Does your team already pay for an SEO suite? Semrush · Ahrefs · Neither

None of your answers pointed elsewhere, so this is our #1. SE Visible

What is a GEO tool, and when does a firm need one?

A GEO tool asks a fixed list of buyer questions to AI assistants every day or week, then records whether your firm is named, which competitors are named and which pages the answers cite. GEO stands for generative engine optimization. The tool measures; it does not write pages or win citations for you.

A firm needs one when buyers already ask ChatGPT or Google which adviser to call, and you want to see the answer move as you publish. Before paying, run the check once by hand: ask ten questions your clients ask, in the assistants they use, and note who is named. If you are absent everywhere, the first job is clear pages and proof published elsewhere than on your own site; a tracker will then show the answers moving.

What does a useful GEO setup cost a small firm?

We priced the same setup in every tool: 20 buyer questions checked every day in ChatGPT and Google's AI answers, the volume most firms of 5 to 30 people need to cover their services and their market. Prices were read on each vendor's own page on 22 October 2026, excluding tax, billed monthly unless stated. The "20 questions a day" column is our arithmetic from each plan's limits.

Reading the matrix: SE Visible is the only tracker above 50 daily questions on five engines; Qwairy, Rankscale and Ahrefs give access to the most engines; Otterly and Rankscale Essentials stay under the 20-question setup on their entry plan. LLMrefs (9) is not plotted: it checks 500 questions a week, not a day.

  1. 1 SE Visible: 200 a day; five engines
  2. 2 Qwairy: about 27 a day on 3 engines; 12 available
  3. 3 Meteoria: 25 a day; 3 of 7 engines
  4. 4 Rankscale: Essentials: 480 answers a month; 17+ engines

  8. 8 Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: 25 prompts; ChatGPT, AI Mode, Gemini

How did we rank these GEO tools?

We checked five things a small firm can verify before paying:

  1. The cost of the 20-question setup above, add-ons included.
  2. Engines on the entry plan: ChatGPT and Google's AI answers first, then Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Claude.
  3. Seats and brands: whether a partner and an assistant can both log in, and whether an agency can add clients.
  4. Languages: whether the vendor says it tracks answers in French or the other languages you sell in.
  5. Trial terms: length, and whether a card is needed.

Languages weigh most: SE Visible, Qwairy and Meteoria name French or are French companies, so they come first. Then how many engines the 20-question daily setup covers at its price, then that price, then seats and trial terms. The ranking rests on what each vendor publishes and charges, read on its own pages on 22 October 2026. Our own practices are not ranked: they appear only in the box above the list. If a placement is ever paid, the entry will say "Partner" next to its name.

Which GEO tool should a small firm pick?

1. SE Visible

Best overall for a firm of 5 to 30 people

  • What you get: 200 questions checked daily, about 30,000 AI answers analysed a month, 3 projects and unlimited users, on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity and AI Overviews, from $99 a month or $79 billed yearly (SE Visible). It names French among its monitoring languages, with English, German, Dutch and Spanish.
  • Why it ranks first: the most daily checks for the money, ten times the 20-question setup, on the five engines your clients use.
  • Watch out: 7 countries and 5 languages in all; Claude is announced as coming soon.

2. Qwairy

Best EU-made tool with every engine included

  • What you get: 12 engines on every plan, Claude, Copilot and AI Mode included. Starter costs €79 a month, €65 billed yearly, for 2,500 credits, which the vendor puts at about 27 questions checked daily on 3 engines; unlimited team; a free plan without a card (Qwairy pricing). Qwairy is a French company and covers 45+ languages.
  • Why it ranks here: the widest engine list that still fits the 20-question setup under €100.
  • Watch out: credits run down faster as you add engines or daily checks, so size the volume before you choose.

3. Meteoria

Best for a French team tracking several brands on a small budget

  • What you get: Starter at €75 a month checks 25 prompts daily on 3 of 7 engines, with unlimited seats, countries, projects and brands, two months free on a yearly plan and a one-week trial (Meteoria).
  • Why it ranks here: the lowest price for the 20-question setup from a French vendor, with unlimited brands for an agency with small clients.
  • Watch out: Claude is not in its plan list today, and the page does not say whether the price includes VAT.

4. Rankscale

Most engines for one price

  • What you get: Essentials at $17 a month billed yearly gives 120 credits and up to 480 answers a month; Pro at $99 a month gives 1,200 credits and up to 4,800 answers. More than 17 engines are available on every plan, with unlimited seats (Rankscale pricing).
  • Why it ranks here: Pro's 1,200 credits cover the 20-question setup on about eight engines a day; Claude, at 2 credits an answer, would use the whole plan on its own.
  • Watch out: Essentials is too small for daily tracking, and a Claude answer costs 2 credits against about 0.25 elsewhere.

5. Ahrefs Brand Radar

Best for a team that only tracks its own prompts

  • What you get: a custom prompt package at €46.70 a month gives 2,500 checks, one check per prompt per platform, so 20 questions a day on ChatGPT and Google's AI answers use about 1,200. Brand Radar covers AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Claude; Brand Radar AI, with Ahrefs' database of more than 495 million prompts, starts at €179 a month (Ahrefs pricing, Brand Radar).
  • Why it ranks here: €47 for the 20-question daily setup if the package is sold on its own, with room for two more platforms.
  • Watch out: check at sign-up whether the package needs a paid Lite plan (€119 a month); a Claude update counts as 8 checks, there is no trial, and Ahrefs does not say which languages it tracks.

6. Otterly.AI

Simplest start, if 15 questions cover your market

  • What you get: 15 questions checked every day in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, with unlimited team members and brands in one workspace, for $29 a month (Otterly pricing). Gemini and AI Mode add $9 a month each, Claude $29.
  • Why it ranks here: $29 for the four engines most buyers use, with a trial that needs no card.
  • Watch out: Lite cannot buy more questions; the 20-question setup means the Standard plan at $189 a month for 100.

7. Peec AI

Best for agencies that report to several clients

  • What you get: Starter at €85 a month tracks 50 questions daily in 3 engines you choose among ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot and Gemini, for unlimited users (Peec pricing). The agency plan, €205 a month, covers 3 client projects and 3 pitch projects (Peec for agencies).
  • Why it ranks here: pitch projects let an agency show a prospect its AI visibility before the contract.
  • Watch out: Starter covers 1 project and 1 country; Perplexity is an add-on and Claude is Enterprise only.

8. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Best if your team already works in Semrush

  • What you get: 25 tracked prompts in ChatGPT, Google AI Mode or Gemini, one project and regions that include France, for $99 a month (Semrush help).
  • Why it ranks here: AI visibility sits next to the keyword and site data your team already reads.
  • Watch out: no free trial, and every extra user needs its own $99 licence.

9. LLMrefs

Most questions tracked for the money, refreshed weekly

  • What you get: you enter keywords and the tool writes the questions. 500 are tracked across all engines at no extra fee, with unlimited projects and seats and an API, for $79 a month, a price the vendor labels "limited time" (LLMrefs).
  • Why it ranks here: the largest question set at this price, useful to map a whole market rather than watch it daily.
  • Watch out: answers refresh weekly, not daily, and the price is promotional.

What about Profound, AthenaHQ, Scrunch and Writesonic?

These four are built for marketing teams with a larger budget:

  • Profound shows no self-serve paid plan today: a 7-day trial, then a sales conversation (Profound pricing). Older roundups still quote a $99 plan that no longer appears.
  • AthenaHQ starts at $295 a month for 3,600 answers across 11 models (AthenaHQ plans).
  • Scrunch starts at $250 a month for 125 prompts and 5 users (Scrunch pricing).
  • Writesonic starts at $99 a month for 50 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, bundled with an AI writer (Writesonic pricing).

How should a small firm start with GEO?

  1. Write 20 questions your buyers really ask, in their words and in each language you sell in.
  2. Pick two or three engines your clients use; ChatGPT and Google's AI answers come first.
  3. Run them by hand once and record who is named and which pages are cited. That is your baseline.
  4. Start one trial with the same 20 questions and compare its result with your baseline.
  5. Fix what the answers cite: your own pages, directories, press and partner pages. Then measure every month.

The how-to-choose guide shows how to hand step 5 to an agent once the questions are stable.

FAQ

What is the best GEO tool in 2026?

For a consulting firm of 5 to 30 people, SE Visible: $99 a month ($79 yearly) for 200 daily questions on ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity and AI Overviews, with French among its languages. Qwairy is the EU-made choice with twelve engines for €79, and an Ahrefs custom prompt package starts at €47 for the same daily setup.

How much does a GEO tool cost?

Tracking 20 buyer questions a day in ChatGPT and Google's AI answers costs from €47 a month with an Ahrefs custom prompt package to $99 with SE Visible or Rankscale Pro, excluding tax, as checked on 22 October 2026. Tools built for larger marketing teams, such as Scrunch and AthenaHQ, start at $250 to $295.

Can a GEO tool get my firm cited by ChatGPT?

No tool controls what an AI assistant answers. A GEO tool shows where you are named and which sources are cited; citations come from clear pages, third-party mentions and proof the engines can quote.

Do GEO tools track answers in French?

SE Visible names French explicitly, and Qwairy and Meteoria are French companies. Otterly, Peec and Rankscale say they cover any language or region without naming French, so run your French questions during the trial.

Is ChatSEO a GEO tool?

No. ChatSEO is an AI SEO agent: it works from your Search Console and drafts pages, and it says itself that it is not a GEO tool. We tested it in Best AI SEO Agent 2026.

Is GEO different from SEO?

SEO aims for a place in the list of links; GEO aims for a mention inside the AI answer. The two overlap, because AI answers often draw on pages that already rank well.
